ORLANDO, Fla. — New Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said Wednesday he'll wait until after the winter meetings are over before reaching out to players.
Part of his reasoning was because things could change quickly. When Detroit reporters have asked general manager Al Avila about trade interest on various players, Gardenhire has routinely joked it wasn’t necessary to trade away anyone.
