Reese Olson rehabs in Toledo, Kevin McGonigle homers again in Whitecaps’ victory

The Hens got pretty solid pitching but wasted too many opportunities to score runs in an extra innings loss on Wednesday.

Reese Olson hit the second batter he faced and allowed a two-run shot to the third, and then was entirely dominant on Wednesday night. He threw 49 of 74 pitches for strikes, but just wasn’t quite getting the whiffs and weak contact you’d expect of him facing Triple-A level competition. Still his velocity was fine and he used his changeup effectively. You can expect him to take his next turn in the Detroit Tigers rotation.
