You can’t tell the players without a scorecard. Heck, even with a scorecard, a telescope and dental records it might be hard to recognize some of the Detroit Tigers this season as they mix in plenty of youth while launching a rebuild.

So, no more Justin Verlander. No more Justin Upton. No more Kate Upton.

The Tigers are everyone’s favorite to finish last in the American League Central and flirt with 100 losses. USA TODAY has them finishing 63-99 — 34 games behind the division champion Cleveland Indians. Fangraphs is way more optimistic and predicts a 70-92 finish, a mere 23 games behind the Tribe and four games better than the last-place White Sox.
