TORONTO — The growing pains — and the losing — continued.
The Detroit Tigers extended their losing streak to 10 games with a 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays on Friday night at Rogers Centre.
It's the Tigers' longest losing streak since they dropped 10 straight from Sept. 13-22, 2003.

In recent years, a 10-game losing streak would have have seen fan groans turn to howls. The latest loss seemed easier to take, considering there are no expectations for this rebuilding franchise.
“Here’s the thing, it’s all growth,” Nicholas Castellanos said, after going 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in the latest loss.
