Mud Hens win behind Daniel Norris’ solid rehab outing

Daniel Norris’s rehab start went well, and the Mud Hens’ offense finally got it going late as they rallied in the seventh and eighth innings for the win. Norris went four innings, allowing one run on three hits and a walk, while striking out four. His fastball topped out at 91 miles per hour on the radar gun, and we aren’t going to know if he can get back the ticks he has lost to the groin issues until next year. Perhaps he won’t. But the fastball still tied hitters into knots, eliciting a lot of whiffs and fouls that drove up Norris’s pitch count, and the slider looked sharp as well.
