DETROIT -- Mike Rojas won't return as manager for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens in 2018, the Detroit Tigers announced Monday.
The Mud Hens went 70-71 in his only year at the helm.
"As the 2017 minor league season has come to an end and we start to plan for 2018, we have alerted Mike Rojas that he will not be returning as the manager for Triple A Toledo," Dave Littlefield, the Tigers vice president of player development, said in a statement released by the team.
"This was a baseball decision and we wanted to go in a different direction.
