Miggy to have season-ending biceps surgery

DETROIT -- Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera will have season-ending surgery after rupturing his left biceps tendon.

Cabrera exited Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Twins in the bottom of the third inning while at the plate at Comerica Park. Cabrera, at the dish for his second at-bat, swung at a 1-1 pitch and immediately dropped the bat and grasped his left biceps area.
