How we remember Mickey Tettleton

Named after fellow switch-hitting slugger and Oklahoma native Mickey Mantle, Tettleton was obtained from the Orioles for pitcher Jeff Robinson in 1991. He went on to slug 112 homers and knock in 333 runs in his four seasons in Detroit (1991-94). The two time All Star won three Silver Slugger awards as a catcher during his 14-year career with Oakland, Baltimore, Detroit, and Texas, and also played the catcher/first baseman/outfielder.
