The Detroit Tigers received positive news about right-handed reliever Michael Fulmer, who went to the 10-day injured list Sunday with a right cervical spine strain.
Fulmer underwent tests with the team doctors in Detroit, traveled with the Tigers for their three-game road series against Cleveland and will check in with doctors for further testing once the squad returns home Wednesday night.
"Right now, it's just his neck," Tigers manager AJ Hinch said Monday. "It's muscular. It's not the shoulder, which is a good sign. We've had him tested with our doctors, and we've got to see what he can tolerate and what he can handle moving forward.
