Matthew Boyd strikes out 11 as Tigers beat Cardinals in 9th again

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers won in walk-off fashion for the second night in a row, but this time they beat the St. Louis Cardinals thanks to a wild pitch instead of a home run.

Cardinals reliever Bud Norris bounced a pitch in front of home plate with the bases loaded, allowing Victor Reyes to score the game-winning run.

Tigers starter Matthew Boyd struck out a career-high 11 batters as the Tigers beat the Cardinals 4-3 Saturday night at Comerica Park.

The Tigers (59-83) will go for a three-game sweep of the Cardinals (78-64) on Sunday.
