Candelario walked. Cabrera hit a single to center, moving Candelario to second. Castellanos hit a single to right field, moving Candelario and Cabrera to third and second. Martinez flew out to left for the first out but not deep enough for Candelario to tag up. McCann ground into a double play, ending the inning. Still 3-2 Pirates.

Mercer popped out to second. Frazier struck out looking, the sixth strikeout for Zimmermann. Harrison flew out to center for the third out.
