Live Tigers blog: Twins score two more, Boyd chased

Things went from bad to worse for Matt Boyd in the top of the fourth inning.

Boyd walked Jon Ryan Murphy before hitting Logan Schafer — who was squaring to bunt — in the chest. Byron Buxton then popped out to second base, for the first out of the inning. Brian Dozier moved the runners up on a ground ball to first base. The next batter, Jorge Polanco, hit a bloop two-run single, extending the inning and padding the lead for the Twins. That was it for Boyd, who gave way to Buck Farmer, who struck out Robbie Grossman to end the half inning.
