Top 5th: Rangers add to lead
Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor hit a long home run to right field with two outs in the top of the fifth, adding to their lead. Jordan Zimmermann, who entered the game 5-0 with a 0.55 ERA saw that jump to 1.18 after the solo shot. After five innings, the Rangers are ahead 3-0.
Bottom 4th: Tigers remain without run
After Mike Aviles struck out for the second time, to start the bottom of the fourth, Miguel Cabrera walked to put a runner on base. He was erased on a fielder's choice by Victor Martinez -- on a ground ball that should have yielded an inning-ending double play.
