The Tigers offense has been lacking through five innings, only mustering four hits so far.

They went in order in the top of the fifth against White Sox starter Miguel Gonzalez. Jarrod Saltalamacchia grounded out to first base, before Andrew Romine flew out to center field and Cameron Maybin popped out to shortstop. Going to the bottom of the fifth, it’s still 1-0 White Sox.

The White Sox stranded a runner in the bottom of the fourth inning. Tyler Saladino led off the bottom of the inning with a single, before Melky Cabrera grounded into a 6-4-3 double play — their third such double play of the game.
