FINAL: TIGERS 14, ASTROS 6
The Astros got to Matt Boyd for two runs in the top of the first inning, but the Tigers answered back to tie the game in the bottom half of the frame and rode that momentum to a seven-run second inning on their way to a 14-6 win over Houston at Comerica Park on Friday night.
The Tigers tagged Houston pitching for 16 hits, including 10 off of starter Collin McHugh, who was pulled during the outburst in the second inning. Six Tigers had a multiple hits with Cameron Maybin leading the way with three.
