Pedro Alvarez drilled a ball to one of the deepest parts of Comerica Park, settling for a two-out double on a shot that may very well have been hit 400-feet. Michael Fulmer kept his poise, though, getting out of the inning by J.J. Hardy to ground out to second to end the inning.
Mark Trumbo grounded out to second and Matt Wieters flew out to center field to start the frame.
