Justin Verlander had a much quicker second inning.
Lonnie Chisenhall struck out swinging to start the inning. Following suit, Abraham Almonte did the same for out No. 2. That marked three straight strikeouts for Verlander. Yan Gomes ended the inning with a pop out.

Looking to get that run back, the Tigers needed a good start to the home half of the first against Corey Kluber.
Ian Kinsler did just that, smacking a double to the left field fence which was about three feet short of a home run.
