DETROIT -- Don't worry too much about Journey and Def Leppard tearing up the outfield grass in Comerica Park like Metallica did last summer.
And no, it has nothing to do with the differences between metal fans and dad rockers.
It's all about recovery time.
Journey and Def Leppard are teaming up for a summer tour that will take them to venues and ballparks across the United States, including a stop at Comerica Park on July 13. A day later, the Zac Brown Band will be at the ballpark.
Fortunately for the turf, the Tigers will be nowhere to be seen around Detroit at that time.
