The weather has warmed up in downtown Detroit.
And so, too, has the Tigers’ offense, which powered the team’s way to a series win over the always-tough Orioles this afternoon at Comerica Park.
No small part of their recent resurgence has been due to rightfielder J.D. Martinez, who stayed hot with a fifth home run in six games. Victor Martinez joined in on the act, hitting his third home run of the season, and Alex Avila’s RBI double was the difference. The Tigers beat the Orioles, 6-5.
