DETROIT -- Detroit Tigers center fielder JaCoby Jones was certain he was going to catch Adrian Beltre's long fly ball from nearly the moment he got a bead on it.
He might have been the only one.
"That was amazing," said Tigers pitcher Mike Fiers. "I thought that was for sure gone."
Although the play in the sixth inning ultimately didn't affect the outcome of the Tigers' 7-2 win on Saturday, it was the most memorable play of the afternoon, the week and possibly the season.
Jones timed his jump against the wall perfectly, reached over the fence and pulled the ball back in.
