Gauging the Detroit Tigers' interest in Yoenis Cespedes' younger brother

The Detroit Tigers probably won't reunite with Yoenis Cespedes during this year's free agency period, but there's another Cespedes on the market.

And Yoelqui Cespedes, Yoenis' younger half-brother, impresses the Tigers.

Yoelqui Cespedes, also known by the first name Yoelkis, is a 23-year-old outfielder. The Cuban ranks No. 1 on MLB Pipeline's international prospects list and is available in the upcoming international signing period, which runs Jan. 15 through Dec. 15, 2021.

"He's definitely a talented kid," Tom Moore, Tigers director of international operations, said Thursday. "I know he's gotten stronger since defecting.
