The Detroit Tigers were not as sharp as the fans would have liked to have seen this past week in the nation’s capital, dropping a three-game series two games to one after a lackadaisical performance in the finale on Thursday night. After being saddled with an 11-7 loss, the team now moved on to the next opponent in the second leg of the road trip.
That opponent is the Cleveland Guardians, who welcome them to Progressive Field this weekend for a three-gamer starting on Friday — which is Independence Day for those residing in the United States of America.
