The Detroit Tigers’ three-game winning streak was snapped on Saturday night by the Los Angeles Angels, who successfully defended their home field from the booming Bengals by a final score of 5-2.
Things came unglued for the good guys in the sixth inning, when starter Jack Flaherty gave up four of the five runs he surrendered on the day — only four of which were earned. Meanwhile, Liam Hendricks somehow made it through 7 2⁄3 frames for the Halos in the winning effort.
Fear not, Tigers fans, for the Olde English D gets one more shot at earning a series win out west on Sunday afternoon.
