Gage Workman was returned to the Tigers after clearing waivers on Thursday, and he immediately made an impact with the Mud Hens on Friday.
The Hens went with another bullpen game in this one, as lefty Dietrich Enns got the start but only for two innings. He surrendered a run in the bottom of the first, but his teammates quickly erased that deficit.
In the top of the second inning, Jahmai Jones was hit by a pitch and Workman, playing shortstop in this one, stepped to the dish and crushed a two-run shot to left center field to make it a 2-1 Hens lead.
