Lefty Matt Hall continued to make the most of his promotion to Triple-A on Tuesday night. Hall mowed down the Red Wings for seven innings, scattering three hits while punching out nine on the night. Mikie Mahtook turbo-charged the offense with a four-hit night, including a double and a triple. Jarrod Saltalamacchia had two hits and an RBI, while Christin Stewart walked three times and scored a run. Josh Smoker made his debut after being acquired by the Tigers on Monday, and he struck out the side in the ninth.
