Ex-Tiger Jim Rooker still a little angry about 1968 World Series

This is part of an occasional series looking back on the 1968 World Series champion Detroit Tigers.

The World Championship ring on Jim Rooker's finger is from the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The chip on his shoulder is from the Detroit Tigers.

Rooker, 75, put together an impressive 13-year major-league baseball career, a career that started with a relief appearance for the Tigers on June 30, 1968.

Before he was sent back to Toledo for the rest of the season, Rooker made one more appearance for a team that went on to win the World Series.
