Emotional Tarik Skubal addresses scary David Fry incident during Tigers-Guardians

The Detroit Tigers' second-half free-fall reached new depths in Tuesday's loss to the Cleveland Guardians, but the worst moment by far came in the sixth inning.

With no outs and a 2-1 count, Guardians designated hitter David Fry squared up to bunt over a runner on second but ended up taking a 99 mph fastball from Tigers ace Tarik Skubal off his face. Fry crumpled to the ground while clutching his face, which was covered in blood as athletic training staff rushed to his aid.

There was a lengthy delay in the game as Fry received medical attention.
