The 2025 MLB Draft is just around the corner, and the Tigers are in an unusual position this year. Because of their success in the postseason, they have the 24th pick, their lowest position in the draft order since 2015, when they took outfielder Christian Stewart with the 34th overall pick.
Mock drafts have been flying in the past few weeks. The Athletic projected the Tigers taking high school second baseman/outfielder Sean Gamble, Baseball America projected high school center fielder Slater de Brun, and both BA and MLB projected righty pitcher Kayson Cunningham.
