On Wednesday evening, Channel 4 chief meteorologist Ben Bailey suggested the Detroit Tigers postpone Opening Day the night before, given the drenching forecast for Thursday.

Maybe the Tigers should have listened to him.

The Tigers did call off Opening Day about 9 a.m. Thursday, some four hours before the scheduled first pitch of the 2018 season at Comerica Park.
