Due to last night’s game being called off because of the weather, the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees are playing a doubleheader today. The first game of the doubleheader ended in 10-4 Yankees victory due to solid New York hitting and sloppy Detroit defense.
Matthew Boyd got the start in the first game today and looked okay, but was hurt by some sloppy fielding. Dawel Lugo and Jeimer Candelario both made costly errors that led to unearned runs. Boyd went for five innings and gave up two earned runs, both off of home runs.
