Detroit Tigers vs. Colorado Rockies postponed due to rain; doubleheader set for Saturday

Miguel Cabrera's chase for 3,000 hits will wait another day.

The Detroit Tigers and Colorado Rockies postponed Friday's game, scheduled for 7:10 p.m., because of inclement weather at Comerica Park in Detroit. Rainfall began in the late afternoon and is expected to continue throughout the night.

Friday's postponed game will be made up as the second game of a split doubleheader Saturday, following the originally scheduled game at 1:10 p.m. The second game will begin at 6:40 p.m.

All paid tickets from tonight’s game are valid for Game 2 of the doubleheader or can be exchanged for any game this season.
