Detroit Tigers fans have seen plenty of aces come and go throughout the years. Current fans have fond memories of watching Justin Verlander pitch each season. Some of the older fans remember Mark Fidrych. The old-timers remember the great Mickey Lolich.
Fidrych is probably the most noteworthy name not on this list. He only spent five seasons with the Tigers and his career ended early due to injuries. By his first two seasons were a spectacle for Tigers fans alike to watch. His rookie campaign in 1976 saw him win the AL Rookie of the Year Award in addition to being named an AL All-Star.
