The Detroit Tigers officially retired Jack Morris‘s number before the game against the Twins game. Morris met with the Media after the game, during which he acknowledged that he had made some mistakes during his time in the Motor City.
Morris once received a standing boo at old Tiger Stadium. Morris spot-started for Mark “The Bird” Fidrych, who at the time was a fan favorite. That didn’t go over well with the Tigers faithful who booed Morris as he trotted to the mound.
The Tigers made the most of Jack Morris day, as they took down the Twins 4-2 at Comerica Park.
