LAKELAND, Fla. — During the Detroit Tigers’ first formal full-squad spring training workout, the biggest observation was that Miguel Cabrera was there.
Cabrera brings a big presence with him, from fans to photographers to groundskeepers. He hasn’t played in a baseball game since last June, but he stepped into the box against Matthew Boyd in live batting practice and fouled a few pitches off.
