Baseball is back and for the Detroit Tigers, they will resume preparation for the 2020 season at home.
Tigers general manager Al Avila said on Wednesday morning that the team will begin training for the season at Comerica Park on July 1.
The regular season home of the Tigers will be the only facility used by the team. For decades, the team's spring training home has been Lakeland, Florida, but Major League Baseball has preferred teams to use their home stadiums for this three-week lead-up to a 60-game season.
