It sounds as if the Detroit Tigers have turned the page on a pair of left-handed relievers in the organization.
Blaine Hardy tweeted on Thursday a goodbye message to Detroit, writing: "I am truly fortunate to have gotten the opportunity to play for such a great organization, in front of such amazing fans, and to have lived in such a great city! Our family is excited to see where we land next season; Thank you Detroit."
MLB.com reporter Jason Beck reported on Tuesday that the team has placed Hardy on outright waivers, putting him on the path for free agency.
