Some Detroit Tigers fans may have thought the team’s fortunes could be turning around against the Marlins, the worst team in the NL. Now, the Tigers are in danger of being swept for a third consecutive series on Thursday (unofficially however considering the suspension of play against Oakland on Sunday) after dropping the first two games to Miami at Comerica Park.
With the losses piling up for the Detroit Tigers, it’s safe to say the team is struggling to find any answers to end this frustrating streak. The Tigers had a 3-1 lead going into the seventh inning on Tuesday, but relievers Buck Farmer and Victor Alcántara each allowed two runs to ruin Detroit’s best chance to end the losing streak.
