After a spectacular win last night behind Edwin Jackson, the Detroit Tigers were unable to continue their short-lived win streak. The Tigers could not get any offense going and wound up losing the game 7-0, despite a solid start from Spencer Turnbull.
Nothing really went right for the Tigers this game, but the offense was definitely the big issue. Detroit’s hitters struck out a total of 14 times against the Royals and didn’t take a single walk. They were only able to get two runners into scoring position all game and left five people on the base total.
