AKRON, Ohio – I can still see Chace Numata standing next to his locker in the Erie SeaWolves clubhouse. He had this presence about him.
“Can I talk to you about this pitching staff?” I asked him back in early July in Erie, the home of the Detroit Tigers’ Double-A affiliate.
“We’ve got some dudes in here,” Numata said.
