As of late, Alex Faedo has really put it together 3 quality starts in his last 4 outings with a 1.69 ERA and 32 strikeouts over that span. Amidst the pressure of the College World Series, he was relieved after being chosen in the first round of the 2017 Draft by the Detroit Tigers. He took that with him to go on to win the national championship with the Florida Gators later that week, while also being named the CWS MVP.
Following the World Series, he took the rest of the season off and made his pro debut in 2018 with the Lakeland Flying Tigers.
