The Detroit Tigers returned home for a series against Toronto tonight for their much anticipated Pink out the Park event. The game didn’t go in their favor however, and they wound up losing 12-1. The pitching staff couldn’t find any answers for Toronto’s hitters, giving up a total of 15 total hits.
Jordan Zimmermann started the game off on the wrong foot by allowing a run to score on a wild pitch, and it would only get worse from there. In the fourth inning he was already over 80 pitches and gave up four additional runs on a series of walks and singles.
