Detroit Tigers: Micheal Fulmer injury update and other news

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer left Saturday’s contest early with an apparent knee injury. Chris McCoskey, of The Detroit News, is reporting that Fulmer is scheduled to have an MRI later today. The results of the MRI will determine if Fulmer is shut down for the rest of the reason or not.

Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias has also seen his season come to an end. The Tigers placed Iglesias on the 60-day disabled list and Chris McCoskey writes his tenure with the Tigers could be over. GM Al Avila has openly expressed that there’s no long-term future for the shortstop with the team.
