The most noticeable thing in the Detroit Tigers’ Friday morning workout was Michael Fulmer’s arms.
Not just his right arm, but both arms. After a bullpen session off the Comerica Park mound — his first there since Sept. 2018 — he took his practice uniform off to run sprints in left field.
Wearing a cutoff shirt, Fulmer showed that even if he wasn't in the best shape of his life, it’s certainly the best he has been as a big-leaguer.
“I would say close to it,” he said. “Maybe my basketball days in high school, I was in a little bit better shape, but those were my six-minute mile days.
