With the Detroit Tigers on pace to finish 2019 with the worst record in the MLB, the organization’s collection of up-and-coming minor league talent should not discourage fans in the long run. As the Tigers of the future begin to take shape, one player Motor City baseball fans should keep their eyes on is Double-A infielder Isaac Paredes.
Paredes, a native of Mexico, was signed by the Chicago Cubs organization in 2016 at the age of 17. The shortstop then came to the Tigers as part of the trade in 2017 that brought Jeimer Candelario to Detroit and sent Alex Avila to the Windy City.
