Detroit Tigers in shortened 2020 season: Be wary of rushing prospects, dreaded injuries

Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire has been quick to admit anything can happen in a 60-game season.

Sure, his optimism seems like a nice way of looking at the shortened schedule. After all, maybe his team can make the postseason.

But don't forget there's always a flip side oozing with skepticism. Although the Tigers feel they have a shot at a playoff run, it's no secret there's plenty of work to do before those beliefs become widely accepted.
