The Detroit Tigers continued their series in Houston tonight with Spencer Turnbull on the mound. Turnbull gave it up very early, giving up two runs in the first and three more in the second, and Detroit’s offense couldn’t retake the lead. The Tigers would go on to lose the game 3-6.
Tonight’s game was similar to last night’s. Both teams got off to hot starts with the bats, but Houston came out slightly ahead. Detroit has recorded more hits in both games, but fewer runs. The fact that Detroit has been able to keep a decent pace with Houston is a positive sign moving forward, as the Astros are likely going to be World Series contenders.
