As if there's not already enough, more decisions have to be made by Detroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire.
Beyond working a typical chess match, he must keep a few additional moves handy for extra innings. Because MLB doesn't want drawn-out games, a new rule has been implemented for the 2020 season which starts a runner on second base each inning beginning in the 10th.
Gardenhire had to make a choice in the 11th: Spare C.
