Detroit Tigers right-handed reliever David McKay pitched 18 games after being signed off waivers from the Seattle Mariners in August 2019.

In limited time, the 25-year-old met a new group of teammates. He became further acclimated in spring training, where he threw 6u2153 innings with a 1.42 ERA before the coronavirus halted his progress after six outings.

He found public parks to play catch, tossed the ball around with his Tommy John-rehabbing brother and eventually found a facility.
