Detroit Tigers' Daniel Norris learned work ethic from this Boston Red Sox pitcher

As a young prospect in the Toronto Blue Jays organization, Daniel Norris quietly looked for someone to give him a push.

It turned out to be Marcus Walden.

"He just taught me how to work hard and work right," Norris said.

At 19 years old in his first spring training, Norris met a 22-year-old Walden at the Blue Jays minor league complex, and the two forged a relationship.

"Obviously he had some really good stuff, his stuff was really electric out of high school," Walden said before Sunday's Tigers-Red Sox game at Comerica Park.
