All but one member of the Detroit Tigers’ coaching staff will return for the 2020 season, according to multiple persons with knowledge of the situation.
The lone departure is bench coach Steve Liddle, who is retiring.
Liddle, 60, has been a fixture on manager Ron Gardenhire’s staff with the Tigers and Twins. A former minor-league catcher, Liddle wore nearly every coaching hat in his 30-year career.
